You're not going to bend 16" wheels with 225/45's on them

I saw those. They would have cost more than $500 to refinish properly.

My point is there's plenty of tire to absorb whatever might come up. Compared to a 205/40/17 or something similar which is nice and thin.

I'm gonna be running 205s. My fenders are not rolled and with IE3s I don't want to worry about rubbing. 205s till I roll the fenders.

Oh, and about refinishing the RSs I called a shop here that said about 500. I was going to refinish the lips that were on them. Have the centers pcoated black or silver and the whole wheels pcoated with clear. He said about 500.

Are they experienced with BBS RS's?

The RS wheel bolts are one-time-use only. So you're looking at $50 or so in new bolts alone for each wheel. Plus new gaskets...which are recommended only to be changed by someone who knows what they're doing. Oh, and then you really shouldn't straighten any BBS lips, so you'll need new ones if those are bent - $135/each from BBS America in Georgia.

If you want to do it right, it adds up. If you don't care about how high quality the final product is, get Konig Remembers instead...

Good point. Well, how about Alpina or Hartges, anyone got some of those for sale? :D

Remember, I'm probably gonna end up with the ACSs that I have a lead on, but I want to keep my options open until then.

How soon do you want these wheels?

I have a couple sets of 16x7.5" Hartge's, and some other wheels you may be interested in.....

They won't be arriving for about 3-4 weeks though, so you'd have to wait.

                          Let me know.

I would like to have them before mid march, so 3-4 weeks is a bit of a strecch. PM me details about condition, price, etc and we can talk.

Yeah, and people have bent 15" before on potholes and traintracks, and there is even more magical sidewall to absorb hits. There's no mystic tire that will ensure no bends like you wanted to make it seem.

personally, 15s look great, but then again I roll 14" so what do I know?

For every inch in diameter the wheel is increased, the ride quality will decrease and likelihood of bend go up. But even 14" can get bent at the right speed and pothole.

Darkwing, definitely go for ACS or Hartge's, they are hot and simply classic.
