WTB wider tires for E30

I've been searching the net for some good deals and I came across this:

Right now I'm in only in the need for 2 tires.
To anyone who knows the metric system for tires, would it be suitable to increase the ratio by 5 for increased traction?!!? just wondering.

I believe the standard size was/is 195-65-14. When looking for tires and considering other sizes, check the specs looking specifically at the overall diameter of the tire. You really want to stay close to stock on this. Changing this, changes speedometer readings and somewhat the overall gearing of the vehicle. So a larger overall diameter would read slower and smaller overall diameter will read faster on your speedometer than actual speed.These diferrences are usually only a few percent though, maybe something like 2-5% difference.
So maybe a 205-60-14 may be an alternate size?

btw, the center number means sidewall height. 70 would be to tall.

get 205 60 14 falken 512's and call it a day.

or you can get sumitomos in that same size.
