VW Wheels: What are they, and will they fit on an e30?

I think these would look pretty cool on e30? What are they and would it work?

Wrong thread. Sorry guys, It's late and clearly I'm not thinking.

Google has informed me they are widened steelies or something. I wonder how you widen steelies. Hmm.

I want these on my e30, chrome lip please.

They're european Polo/Golf 14'' steelies. They look like Corrado steelies but in 14''. Obiviously, those are widened.

Here's a set of stock ones.

Stock mk3 VW steelies will be very close up front. They may fit with stick on weights and small tires, but that is with et45.

Does anybody know much about widening them? I see VW guys get them like custom widened with their own offset.

Theres a local around my way(rhode island) who widens them. Does the job for $3-400 bucks good quality to buddy of mine had them on his audi a4 avant.

What they do is they make the barrel wider by adding another band to it. The offset is changed to where the face of the wheels is put.

I plan on getting this done on my e30 when I order the steelies. They are $95 bucks a piece at the local vw dealer and center caps and such are cheap.

Stock offset of corrado steelies is 45 I believe.

Hmm. Do people sell them on vw vortex? I wonder if you could pick some up that have already been widened.

Hurry and do it! I want to see some pictures. :)

You can buy them on vortex already widened for like 6-800 bucks.

I will be doing it by spring time for sure. I have other things right now to deal with lol. I really want just some 16" steelies widened and drilled for 4x100 applications. I plan on going 15x8 front and 15x9 rear with like a 20et little bit of stretch on the tires not to much. I want to do chrome barrels/lips with alloy centers with the vw center caps and lug caps or just all white with the black center caps. Something different.

They are corrado steelies. Those Diamond Racing wheels im not to much a fan of because of the way the lip is.

I was thinking the same thing. Except I was thinking 15x9 or 15x8 all the around. It's a bit pricey for some steelies? I'm not sure.

I definitely want to see what you come up with though. I think it's something different/awesome/reasonable that I don't see on e30's really.

I'll have search around on vortex.

                          Mine on 16x8

                          And sitting on 15x8

Wheels are made by diamond racing.
I loved them and I had no issues with them despite what people say.

The wheels above are OE wheels that have been made wider by a wheel shop.

Look at the offset from those wheels. Theres NO way that came off a FWD car.

They are widened and made to have a different offset. I will look up the thread for that car and come back with the info on it. I am 99% sure those are vw steelies.
