    [DE/NJ] - WTB 16"+dia 8"+ width wheels

That's pretty much the criteria, with tires preferred.

Prefer <1000 but depends on the wheel quality.

16x7 or 16x7.5 will open up a slew of options, and you can still fit 225/45-16 tires. or are you going for the eurostretchhhhh look.

I don't care that much about the look - I am already prepping an m30 for turbo and so traction may be a small issue without a large footprint. I suppose staggering might be a decent idea also.

yea i went and checked and i think mine are actually 7.5 but with a 225 on there it shouldn't be to bad traction wise.

I was gonna run them after my m30 swap but my roomate picked up the same set in 17"s so im going with a diffferent wheel now.

I'm running 215's on 15"s with way to much side wall right now, they are alos terrible tires, but traction is still pretty good when i want it.

i've done a ton of research on this- for 16 inch wheels, the only tire larger than a 225 that fits properly on our cars (although with a slightly smaller diameter), is the Toyo T1R 245/35ZR16. these will fit on a 16x8 or 16x9, but not a 16x7/7.5. if you are looking for 225's and a much wider tire selection, the 16x7/7.5's will do. if anyone knows of any 245/40-16 tires, please let me know.

it does sound cooler to say you have a wider wheel, though :nice: , so i understand if you are still wanting the 16x8.

Good to know, guys. I did a little research that also confirms this - although the 8" does have more contact patch due to stretch or whathaveyou, it's not prohibitive.
