Ever since I saw the 16" Sport Evo weaves on Ted's M3, I've wanted them.

I'm with ya. I just finished building a set of BBS RM's 15x7.5" with 1.5" lips et20... perfect fitment for the car. My only gripe is i'd really like to be able to run fatter tires in the rear, but i was able to justify that b/c the options out there are limited for the 4 lug.

BUT nowwww... there is this thread and the group buy of the RC knock-offs and am like wtf.

I am not yet a professional engineer, still a trainee, so I by law must disclaim that this is not my professional opinion.

*EDIT**....i posted a long post here to explain from a technical / material stand point why I think this might not work. So as not to further shit on this thread, I've removed it. Those interested in hearing this schpeel can PM me.

                    Cheers.

I would rather get everyone's opinions, who have actual experience or knowledge with this, posted here. Just as long as there is no speculation. We need facts for this. If you post be ready to back it up. I have looked around the web and found some VW guys pulling it off without any problems and have yet to find a picture or thread with the title re-drill breaks/causes wreck/fails.

OEM BMW purists need not apply to this thread with your opinions.

The place that is doing my wheels has been in business for over 25 years. I'm sure they would not modify a wheel if they felt it was unsafe. I have not take any of my metallurgy or structural analysis classes yet so i'm relying on their expertise in their field. I hope I'm not misplacing my trust.

Wheels won't be ready till next week

                            Thank you!!!

There are so many cheap ass multi drill wheels out there that don't fail. They wheels may be weaker, but not to a point that should ever cause failure.

I would like to get a list going of who wants these potentially...

Who in atl is doing this? Are they located in a big red building near 285? \
If they are i would trust them considering their background with BBS. If not, I would like to know if they will stand behind their work to the point of a lawsuit.
