I remember.
I believe your car is lowered quite a bit-this will affect the rubbing.
I bent a BBS CH wheel on a Florida road!
I had a huge rubbing problem on my brakes and had to grind it down quite a bit, actually sent pictures to you and spoke to you about what I had to do. Now im not sure if the offsets made a huge difference but it was a pain. Then with the wheels being made for non jersey rodes, not to sure bout that. Had them fixed twice then they were no longer able to be fixed. They are a beautiful piece and I loved them on the car but I just had so many problems with them that I would be iffy to get another set. Waiting to hear reviews with th new ones.Leave a comment:

^ The driver mod would probably make these wheels a perfect fit for you on those jersey rodes.Leave a comment:

Crazy, I didn't even know they had stopped production. I bought my wheels back in 2002 I believe, had to be one of the first few sets you guys sold. Rubbed a bit with 215s, and rolled the crap out to fit 235/40-17's haha.

Thanks for the support.
We will notify everyone once the wheels arrive.
Well played Mel! I don't know why so many guys on this forum give you shit. Anyone who supports the e30 community deserves a little break. Several of my friends back in the PNW rode these wheels and loved them. NO PROBLEMS with the so called rubbing! I have been waiting for them to come back on the market for over a year.
Mel let me know when they arrive I defiantly want a set.Leave a comment:

FYI-we never knew about the rubbing issue until we saw it on the messageboard.
As I said, we only had 2 or 3 complaints out of the hundreds of wheels we sold.
They were resolved by the customers grinding down the front brake pad backing plate edges very slightly, so it was not a big issue.

as far as the OEM pads and aftermarket pads go, i would say that is more of a cover for the fact that you sold a wheel with a issue. now when you are advertising a wheel that fit an e30 and needing to grind or use a spacer is two different things.Leave a comment:
