UPDATE: unfortunately its not good news. Samples were fine to the naked eye but upon close inspection it just wasn't up to par. The mold seemed OK but the quality of the plastic was too brittle. It wouldn't last more than a few years outside. Its a classic case of fine from far but far from fine. If they didn't skimp on materials quality they would've had a very happy client....

I'm kinda back at step one, so I may attend SEMA in hopes to acquire a better supplier.

I would be more than happy to spend $150 on a pair of MHW reps for photoshoots and meets...as long as they looked like the real deal 100%. I'm sure others feel the same.

I'd love for them to be on my car daily, but like real MHWs I'd cry if anything happened to them. Any chance these "sub-par" reps can still be made for show purposes?

The blunt tech classic site doesn't seem to be working - but he used to sell reproduction 2002 euro turn signal lenses that were really high quality. Perhaps you could find out who made those and talk to them about tail lights?
