Cool. That is the size I was thinking or a 225.45.17 as well could possible work. I assume the 235.40.17 or 225.45.17 is bolt on and enjoy?
APEX ARC-8 17x8" ET25 Wheel Group Buy (Round #3)

215/40/17 - narrow but guaranteed fit
225/40/17 - perfectly square shouldered and direct fit, but poor tire selection
235/40/17 - widest fitment, lots of tire choices, requires front camber, and possible rear roll to fit correct. strut tube clearance was confirmed to clear a Nitto NT-01 in this size.
225/45/17 is too tall.

I'll take a set in the spring if there’s going to be another group buy when I'm in the market for wheels. How is it running a 215 tire in the front, and 235 in the rear with these wheels? Also, any chance on getting a set in white? Or just raw aluminum so I can paint them myself?Comment

I received a couple of PMs asking about fitment of the Massive brake kit, so thought I'd update here for others that are contemplating it...
These ARC-8 wheels unfortunately did not fit my 300mm x 32mm front/rear Massive Race brake kit. The outside face of the front calipers hit the inside of the spokes. I didn't want to run spacers because the offset of the ARC-8's are perfect right out of the box. I ended up opting for the brake setup and selling my set of Hyper Black wheels to a lucky guy in Colorado a few months ago.
The ARC-8s are great wheels for the E30...they let me run extremely meaty 235/40-17 Nitto NT-05s for the street. No other wheel out there at that weight will let you do this for the price that APEX has the ARC-8s listed for. I wished I could have run them and kept the BABK...but alas, I had to opt for smaller options (given my budget) to fit over the brake kit I had committed to:
- O.Z. Alleggerita HLT 16x7 with 10mm spacers front and rear
- Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 15x7 +12 offset
More options here.
If you don't have to worry about fitting a big ass brake kit, by all means jump on this group buy...they're great looking wheels that got me several compliments for the few weeks that I was running them: "Are those BBS wheels?" heheheh.sigpic

How much of a spacer would have been needed to fit the kit, do you think?I received a couple of PMs asking about fitment of the Massive brake kit, so thought I'd update here for others that are contemplating it...

Sorry, no 16's.
Thanks for the clarification on your BBK clearance issue. I'm sorry to hear you had to get rid of them. Would a 3-5mm spacer have been enough?Originally posted by eandradeI received a couple of PMs asking about fitment of the Massive brake kit, so thought I'd update here for others that are contemplating it...

There won't be a group buy in the spring for these unless there is enough demand. If there are left over wheels after this Group Buy then we'll have them in stock though. hey eddy, have you ever thought about raising the offset a bit and offering a wheel that fits the mini? I know a few people who would love a 8 inch wheel that car stuff 235/40/17 tires under the 2nd gen.Comment

Caliper clearance becomes an issue after we do that. I'll look into it more. It's definitely possible with a Group Buy. That would be a totally different project with months of testing prior to production, so that's a 2012 Q1 type arrival type of project.
For now we'll keep this thread on just the ET25's that are being produced as we speak
