The brackets did not fit my e46 seats. Some info online suggests that e36 and e46 seat bolt patterns are the same. Mine were not. Do your research before making the mistake I did.

I have modified the brackets and seat extensively to get them to fit. Almost done. Only problem now is there is a smell from the seats that I cannot get to go away. May abandon the project.

That said, these brackets were very well made and look great. The powder coating is perfect for an interior part that is going to be seen. Highly recommended.

I've also read conflicting information regarding which seats E46 seats fit the E36 pattern. Can you tell us which seats you tried and what you had to modify to make them fit?
