no luck
well my attempt to use two diodes in the system to stop the backfeeding voltage on the accessories circuit and allow the the use of the pink wire to still feed the siren and allowing functionality of the alarm portion works great until the alarm is triggered (by motion sensor in my case),once triggered it will not shut off until unlock is pressed on the fob (alarm runs continuously in a loop thru all the tones),the pink wire is needed to pulse 12v on the white wire just as it tries to autolock ,but if the alarm is triggered the control see's that same 12v on the pink (siren blaring) wire as the ignition switch being on and so alarm stays triggered. dont know a way to get around this and dont think its worth the effort anymore . suffice to say if you want the auto locking to stop do as Einstein stated and connect the pink to white wire and use the unit as a keyless entry only , or use as and alarm just without the siren.(flashing lights only when triggered)
haven't decided how/if im going to finish mine up yet haven't had the keys cut yet and really wanted a working integrated alarm with the E46 style fob for keyless entry
ask any question you have and i will try to answer based on how i have it set up in my IX and what i have exprimented withLast edited by spdracrm3; 10-05-2012, 07:02 PM.Angus

Einstein found out by connecting two wires it will prevent this from happening but it means the alarm system siren cannot be used . i was trying to find a way to maintain alarm functions but to no avail....

What i'm getting at is that the "problem" you are describing, is a pretty normal feature on most alarms when they are first setup. It's called passive arming (just like my scytek g20) and can be disabled via jumper settings or a certain clicking pattern.

yes once unlocked with fob it will relock in 20-30 seconds unless you connect (pink "siren" wire to white "on" wire) this is on the E46 alarm style system not the keyless entry only system. so dont leave keys in car with windows rolled up!
i will be on vacation for 10 days but when i get back will try to get a detailed description of how i have mine wired (been to busy lately to get to it )Angus

Alright everything installed perfectly fine, but now I'm faced with a dilemma. I can't find anywhere to get my keys cut. The locksmith shut me down immediately and said they and nowhere else in the area cuts steel keys, and the BMW had no idea as well. Where can I get the keys cut? I didn't think it'd be this much of a hassle
