EDIT: got it. I was using shitty wire connectors.

To everyone who does this and wants to mount this in the trunk, here is a small breakdown of the wires (mine is a 1989 so it may differ):

[unit wire: body wire]

red with fuse: positive side on battery
Black wire: negative wire
White wire: Green w/black stripe (by trunk actuator)
White w/black stripe wire: green w/violet stripe (also by actuator)
Yellow wire: ground
Yellow wire with black stripe: ground

Haven't started the flashers yet but this is something to help get started.

I have a 1991 325i. Can someone please tell me if installation is different than the above instructions? I wired mine up but it just clicks? Can someone please confirm the color of the ground wire?

It's working now. I followed the diagram on a later page. The connectors included with the kit were also faulty. Works great.

Could take pre-order down payments to help out. I would be in to put 30% down for key less entry

Or you could just have people pre pay the full amount. Get enough people who want them guaranteed and the money before you order your supplies. And you know it is already sold so you don't have left over inventory. I have seen a lot of people pre pay for something on this forum for other things. I would pre pay, especially if it meant getting the product sooner. I will wait too, it was just a suggestion.
