“Bavauto” Headers Group Buy

So, installed these suckers today with the midpipes as well. Sound sweeeet. However, it's idling rough bc the O2 sensor is so far back. The check engine light comes on and it stalls out sometimes at idle. O2 sensor is brand new. Once I get it going on the road, the engine light goes out and it drives fine, it just idles rough. What are you guys doing to adjust for this? Or will it just take a few days of driving to normalize? Also, I'm about to install a 3" miller MAF which comes with a new chip for 19# injectors, dunno if that'd make a difference or not.

I can't comment because The first time I fired mine up with the headers it was running on stand alone. I don't have any issues with the O2 location though. It might just need time to adjust. That's why a WB O2 is nice to see if it's running rich or lean.

And for anyone who's curious what my exhaust set-up looks like now, my car was up on the lift the other day so I snapped a couple pics...

I'm taking a long drive in it tomorrow after I get it back from getting an allignment. We'll see if she starts acting right. Anyone else having this prob? Seems the O2 sensor is good b/c at cruising speed the check engine light extinguishes. I'm just thinking it's too far back in the system to get an accurate reading. But again, dunno.

I would be in too... Time is a factor though. I would rather purchase straight from the vendor than wait 5 mos for a group buy to pan out. Now that we have the bugs worked out it should move smoothly right?

You realize that the vendor, BavAuto, doesn't sell these anymore right?

You can definitely call Tubular and order a single set if you'd like but expect to pay closer to $800 for the set rather than $550. The reason being is that they don't stock the tubing to make these headers. The place that they buy their steel from makes it to order for them, so unless they are buying enough pounds of it the material cost ends up being much higher per set. Even for the group buy of 20 sets I just did, Tubular told me that in order to give me that price they were quoting me the material at cost rather than marking it up. When Bavauto use to sell them they would requisition 30+ sets at a time which is why they could sell them for what they did and still make money. I'm not making any money from running a group buy for you guys, as you know I actually lost money last time. Next time will be different though.

On the cost note, ordering one set at at time costs around $1400 (with thermal coating). That's what I did.
