UPDATE: Shipment arrives Tuesday July 9th, but Hyper Black finish is delayed

We received notice earlier today, that the shipment arriving tomorrow morning (July 9th) was not loaded properly. Instead of 4x100 Hyper Black wheels being packaged, 5x120 wheels were shipped to us. This will result in the Hyper Black finish wheels arriving later than expected. Orders for the other finishes will be fulfilled tomorrow as originally scheduled.

The mix-up has been corrected, and the 4x100 Hyper Black wheels are now on their way. They were rushed out today, and are scheduled to arrive August 2nd.

In compensation for the inconvenience caused by this delay, we will provide an additional $75 per set discount to all buyers of the Hyper Black finish wheels who accept the delay. Alternatively we can provide an immediate full refund of the deposit to anyone who would like to cancel his or her order if the additional delay is unacceptable. Payment for these orders would be made 2~ days prior to the arrival of the shipment. Refunds can be made within 48 hours of your request.

An email is being sent to all members who purchased the Hyper Black finish with more details on how proceed.

Members who purchased Anthracite and Satin black will be contacted tomorrow to finalized payment. Those orders will be boxed and readied for shipping in advance, so they can go out immediately upon receipt of payment. Payment would have been collected today, but we were responding to the unexpected mix-up.

I anticipate some action this week, starting Monday.

I ended up going with the Yokohama S drives, got a set of 4 on ebay for 575 (there are still some available).

Seemed to have the best combination of wear, low-noise and solid construction. We'll see! I sure hope our wheels start dropping Monday!

I have the R1Rs as well and can attest they they are a pretty awesome tire. The 235s give you a good meaty look. Rears lasted only 1 year though. One can't expect much life out of a treadwear 140 tire however

I run the toyo proxes r1r's in 235/40/17 and they are awesome in my opinion. For the money I think they are a good deal and the grip is incredible. Quiet in my opinion and a good tire

There's really not a ton of options in a 235/40/17

I've had BFG KDW2's, and those will deafen you. Seriously. When I went to Eagle F1's I literally cut my radio volume down by 1/3 to hear it as well as with the BFG's. Can't speak on any others though.

Have you ever had michelins? I'm kinda spoiled to very quiet tires these days, and I've read the Goodrich's are a bit noisy. I read good things about the Toyo Proxes

I run BF Goodrich GeForce comp sport2s. Quiet, with fantastic grip in almost all conditions.

We received a late confirmation today that the shipment is set to arrive at the distribution hub on the 3rd (Wednesday). It usually takes 1 day to deliver from there. With the following day being the 4th of July Holiday, they will be closed an unable to delivery on the 4th. They could not confirm if the shipment would then arrive one day after (the 5th). We're pushing to get the earliest possible delivery as we expected them to arrive today if everything had gone flawlessly.

Because they expressed uncertainty about the the 5th as an ETA, we do have to be open to the following Monday as the true ETA date.

I'm sorry that we could not provide great news today. This sets us to 1~ week behind the anticipated ETA, which is within our estimated range.

Narrowing it down to Toyo proxes T1 sports. I need good grip, but also minimal road noise and long wear since it's a daily. Anyone have any opinions?
