Of the 20 people contacted only 6 have paid so far, sounds like a r3v group buy to me!

I'm out for now, I'd like to hear some real world opinions about the durability and construction for now.Comment

Everything is all labelled, packaged, and ready to go. going out tomorrow.
I will contact some more people tomorrow probably, but I think I only have maybe one standalone gauge to send, the rest are packaged up with string frames. Another batch is being made now but will probably not be ready for a week or so.Comment

I just got my alignment system. It is very well put together. Thick pieces of aluminum were used everywhere on the gauge and string frame. The triangle support brackets on the string frame are thick pieces of zinc coated steel however. The measuring rulers on the gauge are stainless steel and look to be at least a millimeter thick. Even the plastic caps used to cover sharp edges are nice and thick. So, yeah, the alignment system is made to be durable. Nothing cheap or flimsy about it. Oh yeah, I also liked how all the drilled holes were chamfered. You can tell that this kit was well thought out and put together well.
The couple of gripes I have is that there were no stuffing in the box. The metal frame had actually poked holes on the ends of the box. Luckily, there was no damage done to the kit. So, I think some stuffing (crumpled newspaper or something) should be placed at the ends of the box. Also, there were no instructions included in the kit. I just noticed that e304me is planning on emailing everyone an instruction in a couple of days.
Also, the leveling gauge is very nice. Large readout screen. It came with a battery which was very nice. The kit also comes with a bag of bolts, nuts, and a couple of miniature c-clamps for the string frame.
I'll do anther followup after I've used it.Comment

Yes instructions will be sent out today. I just shipped these out yesterday afternoon, can't believe you already got it.
Here are some caps I got to put on the ends (the two ends of the 48" pieces). Hard to imagine it breaking through there because the cardboard id doubled up, the journey a package sees is apparently a lot rougher than I thought.Comment

I also received the gauge today. Overall impressions are good. Everything feels nice and sturdy but you should toss a bit more newspaper or something in there.Comment
