I'd be interested in a cat back setup. Hopefully price can be very competitive

Its hard to commit without knowing the price. I would be in if the saving was significant. A symbolic 10-15% discount wouldn't do it for me.Your resource to do-it-yourself and interesting bmw and e30 stuff: www.rtsauto.com

It's been a couple of years since Robert (the guy next door to Stromung) put a M20 GB together, but, as Einstein pointed out, it took Scott (Stromung) quite some time to follow through and get orders filled. Robert took a lot of flak for something out of his hands, if I recall correctly.
Bottom line (from a few years ago, unless things have changed) is that Stromung basically builds his exhausts 1 at a time, by hand. The reason I quoted your response, Henna, was to tell you to order directly from Stromung if you want your exhaust any time soon. (Again, unless things have changed over at Stromung)
Great sounding exhaust and quality-built. I'd be interested in seeing what his price would be on a GB.Comment

also i asked Scott about that GB that was mentioned before on late delivery..
i hope that puts your minds at ease guys. tell your friends!!! and lets try and get 10 plus people on this!Lance,
We do group buys regularly and they all run different depending on time of year, parts ordered, delay in payment, reduction of group size, damaged materials, ect. Delivery dates will vary from a week early to a week later due to other large orders in the shipping area. I dont remember details of a group buy a couple of years ago. We have been manufacturing exhaust for 20 years, those concerned may want to avoid a group buy. Parts are generally shipped 3-4 weeks after group buy is closed + or - 1 week.
Thanks,
ScottComment

Check out the M42 group buy guys ... I think it was well run and a decent deal. The discount wasn't all that much off the posted price due to an increase in cost of raw materials.
I was pretty happy when I go mine ... would recommend Stromung, worth the wait.

Has anyone thought of contacting Understeer.com? they sell Stromung and maybe they could clear out stock or get a decent GB started.Comment
