Thanks for you both updating the rest of us! I've ordered my tires and should be receiving them soon, then getting them mounted hopefully the same day. I'll be sure to tell them to be easy when bolting the lug nuts in. From there, I'll go home and examine to see if I encounter anything similar to what you both have gone through. I'll update when available.Leave a comment:

I had this exact problem with my 17" Kopis bought in Sept 2013. I moved each wheel around until I found a configuration where the lugnuts weren't catching on the e-brake parts. I'm also using OE bolts. It must be a pretty tight clearance.I realized that the wheel bolts were protruding in too far into the rear, e-brake drum and catching on something every time the wheel made a full turn. I compared the mating hub on these wheels to that of the borbet wheels that I removed and noticed that it is about half as thin. I am fairly positive my wheel lugs are OE. For now, i can just grind them down a few mm, but I am a little concerned about the wheel integrity with the mating hub being that thin.Last edited by Lugnuts; 02-08-2016, 03:12 AM.Leave a comment:

Kopi wheel center cap instructions
Turn the cap until there is resistance (make sure that the cap does not fall into the hub).
Use the side of your fist or rubber mallet to attach the cap to the wheel. The cap must not fall into the hub, it must be forced on to the hub.
Do NOT twist the cap to lock it. It will fall off.
To remove the cap, use the tool provided with a bent tip and insert it into the slot and pull hard in an upright position.Leave a comment:

Thanks, not a problem because there's still snow everywhere here so I won't be driving on them immediately. Just wanted to make sure they didn't get lost or anything.

Right on. Thanks for the reply. I was just surprised when i had to file down the lugs. There is no need to worry about the wheel integrity.
The wheels have been made from the same mold for the last 14 years that we have been selling them.
We have not had one failure, even when used on track cars.
In fact the Kopi wheels were tested by TUV many years ago and received their stamp of approval.Leave a comment:

I figured I would post this up to see if anyone else encounters the same problem.
I got the wheels put on yesterday and took the car for a drive and noticed a metallic clunk (almost sounded like a bad wheel bearing or gear lash) with every rotation of the wheel. I had it isolated to both wheel hubs (prominently the left) in the rear and thought it was the wheel bearing, until i noticed that it went away when i backed off the wheel bolt torque.

Has anyone else noticed this, or is concerned with the thickness of that flange?
edit: car is a 1990 325is, for brake configLeave a comment:
