I want them stiff but I'm not sure what rate I want at the moment but you can count me in on a set of the true rear coils

12k for true rears will snap your spinal column........I'm currently having another brand of coils custom built for my car, it'll be primarily drifting, excessive chassis modifications and I'm running 11k/7K.
True coils on e30 are spring on shock, mounted at the furthest point of the pendulum swing, your rates aren't going to be anywhere close to what you'd run with at the stock spring seat location.sigpic

That's correct but you will need to send in your oem strut housings. If you have a Sawzall just chop em a few inches from the bottom and they should fit in a usps large flate rate box.
