I bought some of these during the last group buy and was quite disappointed when I realized that they look identical to the ones I've seen from O'Reilly for $100/pop

I've seen other axles use the same or similar boots yes, but I can assure you they are not the same internally.

Waiting for Igor to get back from the e30 picnic but tomorrow I will provide pictures of the unassembled axle shafts, he also has lab results which I will provide.

are the cages made from chromoly as well? I was under the impression those exploded before the shafts actually broke. Awaiting the internal pictures before deciding if I want these on my LS car

The cages are not chromolly but they are larger and heat treated.

There was one guy who commented on my instagram post that these were being launched behind a 900wtq car. Granted CAtuned cannot guarantee that, but they do work well.

Do these work on a e30 with 318ti rear end?? From what I searched they should but I am not 100%, sure.

Besides myself there's a handful who posted in the review thread and countless others outside of r3v

I've run this setup for a couple months. I had to send one back for warranty for a torn axle boot, so right now I am running a "stock" axle and the other side is a CA Tuned axle. I put my car up on the lift yesterday to check to hear some clunking I had in the rear. The "stock" axle had play and was pretty loose, whereas the CA Tuned axle was pretty solid and tight. This is on a 330+whp turbo M20 with an LSD and a 4-puck clutch.

It's a pretty solid setup and if it continues to hold up to the occasional abuse, I plan on getting their coilovers in the future as well to compliment the setup.

                                Extremely happy with my set!
After years of killing a set of stock axles per year on my 280 whp track car, these things still look brand new! Car is only ever driven balls-to-the-wall...

So confident I even safety wired all of my diff-flange bolts together 😉
