    West Lake Tires?

Read this add and tell me what you think please. This tire has been posting these adds for several weeks now. I have never heard of these tires before and was wondering if anyone on r3v has any experience with them. $223.00 plus tax seems like a smokin deal on a 205/50/16 if these tires are any good. I have a set of Konig Villans that I would like to put them on. I don't want to go super big because this will just be my DD. Thanks Braxton

This is the car they will be going on.

They're supposed to be a "new and improved" version of National Catalysts, another cheap poorly rated tire...I haven't heard too many complaints from customers about them so far, but haven't had a chance to try them myself. (I work for a wholesaler that sells them)

Thanks for the info. I wonder if you will have to buy two sets of these tires to actually get to the 45,000 wear warrantry?? LOL How long have they been on the market? Are you going to try them?

Haha, your guess is as good as mine - though I can tell you from past experience that other National's have generally done pretty well with wear as long as they're rotated, kept with proper pressure, etc. They also don't get returned for manufacturing defects very often either compared to other brands we carry. We've carried Westlakes for maybe 2 months now...not sure when they hit mass market though.

I might try a couple, I need to pick up some cheapo tires for the girl's beater in the next few days. I'll update this thread if I do.

Decent quality tires aren't THAT expensive.

At least buy some Kumho's or Falken's. They aren't going to break the bank in that size.
