this is by far the best looking headunit i have ever seen in the e30 interior. the all black and dim green led's dont stand out at all, and the install was very straight forward and simple. aside from having an aux. port, it has a direct ipod interface(like a comp. cable). its just plain sexy. the sound is crisp and the remote that is included is awesome.

and for under 120 dollars, its well worth it.

on my chassis my red/green wires were my dimmer wires.
this is the correct wiring.
Pioneer Headunit -----------e30

green and white---------- yellow
black --------------------brown
red-------------------- purple/grey
yellow----------------- red/grey
purple and grey----------- lt. blu
blue/grey--------------- dark blue
no more wires -----------red/green looped and capped off

Best unit ever

I have this in my car and it looks perfect. The trims all blend in and gives it that stock install look and doesnt stick out too far either.
I have the rear direct ipod wired into my glovebox so the ipod is acting as a harddrive, no annoying wires.
You can also scroll through your playlist/songs/artist very easily through the unit itself, and with the ability to speed up the scrolling speed, it doesnt take ages to find what your looking for.
Awesome EQ customisation and excellent sub controls.
The light around the volume is green. But it doesnt clash at all with the instrument lights. The rest of its lights are white.
