    15MM drop hats from RichardKeith

I installed them a few days ago. Shipping was very fast and communication was great. The car is finally sitting where i would like it to. Installation was easy but getting the spring seated correctly is a challenge when the spring is this short.

86 eta with AC removed and lower front spring pad removed. All other spring pads in place. I am on IE3s

    Before

    After

    Time for a skidplate :p

Yeah, seating that spring correctly is a pain. Did you experience the clunky spring turning the first time? I'm still getting my drivers side spring to sit 100% correct. Pops and clunks now and again when I'm turning very tight.
    Need a part? PM me.

Not at all. Whats probably happening is that the ends of your springs arnt sitting in the little pockets correctly. That part it very important. Jack it up and take the wheel off. Then put a jack under your strut and lift it till the spring almost has tension and adjust it.

I took the rear pads out too after the pics. You going to PIR Saturday? We could do them afterwards.

Just think of it as changing out front springs because thats pretty much what your doing but instead of changing springs you re-assemble with different spring hats. I did it pretty much by myself in a couple hours.

Are you sure you put the washers in the right spot? Sometimes the parts bind if there aren't washers between them. This is just an idea, I had it happen on one of my subaru's a few years ago...

+1 on above post. You also could have put them on too tight. Matt-B tightened his too much and the bearing would not move at all so he had to loosen them.

I'm pretty sure this is exactly my problem. When adjusting the spring in the perch I can't rotate the drop hat (no load) to the left. It feels like it's binding up a bit on top. Which from what I looked up on realoem.com is a lack of washer. I re-used the stock washers but would suggest dropping on the washers provided as they are a tad thicker.

Will get back once I pull it apart again.

                            Fix'd.

I suggest using the provided washers as it garuntees the drop hat's clearance to the shock tower.

                            Excellent product and results.
