sound clips when the car isnt under load are useless, it will never sound like that while moving. nice effort though.

I have said it is basically stock and everyone still asked for a soundclip

I will try to buy a mic for my iPod then tape my iPod to my bumper and go for a drive.

i also have the IE system on my car, picked one up used from a frend who had it on for about 6months. for the $175 i paid i cant think of a better value. sounds great at WOT, sounds a tad deeper than stock the rest of the time. and it looks cool. hehe

Anyone put this on an m42. I like the price, but would it sound ok, or would it come out ricey? just curious.

Had it installed and running in less than 40 minutes, I am very satisfied!

Although if you have an m-technic II rear skirt, the tips will be nearly flush with the skirt, and you may actually have problems with it burning the left edge of the skirt.

Just finished installing mine I got off the recent group buy r3v and e30tech had. Overall the system looks really nice shinny stainless, nice tips the usual. I went to install it expecting it to fit like crap like most other aftermarket exhausts. I used all new hardware and only found a few things wrong.
1.) Where it meets the cat the passenger side pipes didnt meet quite right. It seems the one pipe needs to be bent more. I had to pry and then tighten equally to "bend" the pipe to make it fit.
2.)The drivers side tip hits just against my valence not pushing on it just resting there.(even after an hour of adjusting)
Overall im more than happy, it fit much better than expected and the sound is perfect just a tiny bit louder than stock just how I like it.
If you want a loud, hot rod exhaust dont buy this one. Its more classy than racey. But you cant beat the price for a quality stainless system.
