UUC bolt thru race ( red)trans bushings..
Just wanted to give a quick review for any1 interested.
I did an s50 swap on my 90 325i about 16 months ago and at the time instlld new UUC street/track trans mounts. I use a g260 set up.
Car shifted nicely overall, not great.
1 to 2 shift did not want to be jammed quickly.... 4 to 5 shift was a bit sticky and needed a delicate touch.
I run a z3 1.9 lever.
Unfortunately these trans bushings failed and separated. This is a known issue w/ these mounts and has been documented by many folks on differing forums. Seems as tho there was a bad batch and perhaps a poor design issue.
UUC was wonderful w/ customer service and took care of me at once. Free replacements are offered .
I opted for this race bolt thru model.
Shifting is now tremendous and crisp. 4 to 5 is spot on. Im surprised how these mounts did this....
Pls understand the car never shifted wonderfully, even when the failed mounts were new!
Downside is that NVH is clearly increased....
Vibrations/rumbling/moaning are all felt and new to this ride. Dont forget tho these are intended for race use. Are they streetable?..yes they are. Just be prepared.
