Anyone have an opinion on these? They seem crazy cheap for a complete, bolt-on kit with tube headers and all the piping, oil lines, etc. There must be some catch..... any feedback? I'm not considering buying one, just curious.

if you look @ the individual turbos the dude is selling, you'll see he sells them dirt cheap, which means the turbos are crap more than likely.. but still not a horrible price. if you could get him to sell it all, minus the turbo itself and source a good t3/t4 from somewhere else, and get some decent software/ tuning, probably have around 2k in a nice kit!Comment

A frind of mine bought an eBay turbo kit for his miata, and it's tracked heavily. The turbo was some chinese POS, but the charge pipes and lines are good enough for track duty.'89 325i track sloot

Don't buy it. They are not just bolt on and go. Lots of the minor stuff like fittings and plumbing don't fit.Comment

Also there is no engine management... and the quality of everything is subpar..:: PNW Crew ::

You need some kind of engine management for any aftermarket turbo setup. No if buts or questions about it. You might as well have it part of the "kit".:: PNW Crew ::

I wasn't saying it wasn't necessary, however, I have never seen a "turbo kit" that includes engine management; nor do I know of anyone who expects that engine management would/should be included in a "turbo kit".Comment

As far as I've heard, the few guys who have bought this kit haven't had any problems. Even if some of the components need to be replaced you a few miles in, you still will end up with a decent turbo kit for under $2k with proper engine management and exhaust.
This kit certainly is not "bolt-in" by any stretch of the imagination. There will be lots of custom fabrication.

So where can someone get their hands on a good turbo kit, with plumbing and lines and some sort of managment?
If there isn't a place, I say someone should put one together... ie: good quality turbo(not too small, not too big), proper fittings, properly fitting manifolds, intercooler, megasquirt, the required sensors, gaskets, strong bolts, upgraded head bolts, a mls head gasket, and detailed instructions for dumbasses haha. (I have a small knowledge on FI, so work with me if I forgot something)
I'm seriously considering starting my own part time business sellin beemer shit... quality good shit... er. Quality good products for quality great cars.Comment
