    GC coilovers and Vorshlag plates

I'm running these with Bilsteins. I did not cut the strut, and at this point, I don't think I need to. I han't bottomed out yet, and I am adjusted almost all the way down at the front and about 2/3 of the way down in the back. It looks great, rides beautifully (much better than the old and softer APEX springs) and there is a marked cornering imporvement. I used rates of 350 f and 475 r, and bought them from Bimmerworld.

The Vorshlag plates are very well built and easy to adjust, and have a very large range of ajsutment. They also have a lower stack height. There was no increase in ride harshness. (I installed the plates after the coilovers due to some shipping issues. See my thread in the testimonials area. EDIT: transaction feedback, my bad.) Steering seems to be *slightly* more responsive and follows the crown of the road. All in all, I have no real negatives to report. Good stuff!

"They also have a lower stack height" you sure about that?

Lower stack height than the stock upper mounts? definitely. Lower then the (new design) GC ones? I don't think so, but I'm not too sure about that.

The springs were whatever length the kit comes with; probably 6" springs, though.

I have since adjusted it up 5 turns or so. Distance between the center of the wheel and the lip of the fender is 12 inches at all four wheels. No more bottoming out unless the bump is massive.

                Grissom FTW.

Most people who autox would shit when they saw that place. And then again after a run or two.
