Sorry if its been covered, what is anodization? whats the difference between none, black, and clear, from an appearance/wear point of view? what is the purpose of it?

And can we not get them with a rounded top like dan gillans? nor can we get them in the silver color?

i still don't see the purpose? All i got from the FAQ is that its a method of coloring/refinishing metal.

What purpose does it actually have? if you're refinishing it with CLEAR anodization, then ... thats not really coloring the metal.

those are the same knob, any difference in appearance caused by photographic factors. You asked about anodizing, hence why i posted the link so you could learn a little about what anodizing is.

Anodizing is something to make shit look cool, thats about it. Clear anodizing would give it more of a dull appearance and would look somewhat different than not anodizing it. As far as his knobs, he was offering round and flat tops, but most opted for the flat top.
