Massive - air filter for CF airbox

This first batch of air filter panels is already sold out. But another batch will be done in a few weeks. They offer 50% more filtering surface than the stock air filter and allow better breathing for your Alpha-N DTM airbox. Kit doesn't include the air filters. They are K&N air filters (part #PL-1002) available from your usual supplier or on eBay ($30usd or less per unit).

The installation kit now sells $75usd. Fasteners included.

And now for the latest evolution of the kit. Still $75usd + shipping. Filters not included.

The main panel has the usual two slotted holes to bolt on your rad support, plus two extra to better seal the snorkel against the aluminum panel. The lower bolt can also be used to bolt on the rad support. As you can see, the filter lip at the base has been kept to clear the rad support sheetmetal, but I cut away the lip at the intake to better seat the caps.

Not for A/C cars. Sorry. Move up North, it's colder.

For those of you who don't have an M3, here's a short explanation of the kit's purpose.
There are many M3s with a carbon fiber airbox and aftermarket engine management. The filtering system is an area that hasn,t been really covered over the past years. Some will use a piece of oiled foam to filter out dust, which has limited filtration and clogs quickly. Not to mention flamability. The Germans have an adapter in the front panel that uses a cut up filter. That filter is exposed to water if it rains. Therefore, I offered an alternate solution to filtering. An optional addition will be offered soon: a cover that allows to muffle the intake sound, for tracks where noise limit is 92db.
