They both looks good. if you are going to do any other gauges in the car(VDO) go red so all the needles match. But if you want the cluster to really "pop" go with orange. Just make sure the orange is a deep orange/amber.

Just planning on the cluster gauges so I'll probably go with orange. Looks more original...

I got the rings and they look great. The speedometer and tach snap in place without a hitch, but the fuel and temp not so much..... through your many experiances with these do you have any suggestions or tips to make them fit correctly. BTW I have a VDO cluster

Cool, glad you got them.

These are the ones Ive been using, fitment is perfect(other then the fuel level, which is a tight fit but snaps in just fine)/

Some of them are tighter then others, not sure if do to the cluster or manufacturing process of the rings.

Take the back of the ring and scrape a small amount of the lip off on one side, for example the slip between 12 and 6 o clock. Again do this from the back side of the ring, you dont need to do a lot, just enough for the lip to catch and click in. Once you that side in you can continue from either edge and push all the way around.
