    fuck yeah man

you're not going to score ridiculous prices on everything everywhere. Fuck, if anything, you should be more willing to shell $400 for a harness after spending $300 on a motor

I agree with the Rob(s), quit being cheap corner cutting pussies and do the damn thing. Either pay someone to do it locally or buy the damn harness! (this applies to many other e30 related topics)

I'll bet there isn't a single person that has DONE the M/S5X swap that is bitching about the price after doing the wiring themselves.

Maybe someone who has done their own can pipe in and mention just how much of a pain in the ass it is to do this on your own, how long it takes, the numerous problems you're bound to run into, and the fact that there's no one on the other end of a phone that can help you.

$400? You'll be getting a call from me in the late summer.

          Sorry. Geez.

          I'll save up for it.

          And I'll buy it.

On my treehouse adapter, the pins for the temperature sensor were not in the harness. they had to be hard wired. other than that, this thing is great!

waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffles, put one to use already and smack up some hoes. you're in need of more power fucker. it's what's keeping you back.
              I agree, it's a fucking cool product.

But, shit, $400. That's $100 more than I paid for the engine!
Labor at a shop is usually $70 an hour..... if they take their sweet time and take a whole day (9-5) to do it... which is still pretty fucking fast, that's $560. If you do it yourself for the first time, you can waste a week in trying to figure out everything yourself.

Imagine the time and money saved.

That product is definetly worth the price and I would definetly buy it if I was going for an m50 swap.

Just my $.02, but I found the wiring to be one of the easier parts of the swap. In fact, using the AKG pin chart, someone decently skilled with wiring could probably make the harness adapter in less than an hour.

Again, just my $.02. If someone has $400 to drop and doesn't want to deal with the hassle of splicing and whatnot, its sounds like an excellent product from a top-notch company.

I noticed you say "ask about early model square plugs." When was the cutoff for this? ...My car's production date was 2/86, which I know was a transition time, but has the 9 button OBC, ABS, and check panel goodies.
