You do not have to wait or hate.

These are sold via credit card sales. You can purchase it on a credit card now and pay it off later when you get your tax refund.

Send me your info and I can add you to the list.

I agree, it sounds very refined, just like a Ferrari has that intoxicating tone to it, its the same thing. Not the same sound obviously, but it really adds a lot of class to the exhaust note.

A free rev as in the video is not the same as when its under a load and going down the road.

Ahhh spoken like a true salesman! I can respect that.
Although no one in thier right mind would give me credit at this point in my life... (*read: School loans!) So unless you are going to be buying extras and sitting on them as stock then I am outta luck my friend!

I'm very interested, but have little knowledge of what a "Cat Back" Exhaust is. But i def know i need one since looking at my stock and seeing how rusted out it is. Does this entail the actual muffler and the piping that goes to the front? Im a noob, my bad.

          thanks

This exhaust (or muffler if you will) will replace everything from the catalytic converter to the rear of the car (hence the term catback for short). Basically you undo the 4 bolts that hold the catback to the catalytic converter, remove the two rubber donuts and the figure eight rubber mount and the entire rear section of exhaust will come out. Installation is the inverse of removal.

You can reuse the stuff you already have. Unless its too badly rusted.

Thank You Danny for fielding that last question. In regards to installation, you will simply remove the existing cat back and both lower hangers. The muffler will have provisions on it to simply bolt straight to the upper factory brackets.

The Cat back itself does not include any addition mounting hardware. If you need any new rubber hangers, mounting straps, or doughnut gaskets I would recommend calling your preferred parts house and ordering what you need ahead of time so that you have everything you need before installation.

In other news I have passed on the information on the 9 buyers we have already.

You should start receiving a call from Scott at Stromung for payment information.

All the materials have all ready been ordered for all 12 systems and we still have 4 open slots.

Production should be starting next week.

                    Take Care, and Thanks

Thanks, can you provide a list of parts needed, if say, i didnt have any to begin with? Im sure mine's going to need something since i'm replacing what is already a pretty rusted muffler.

                          Love Mine

I have had my Stromung for a couple years now and I love it. At idle it is pretty quiet, but it can put out the dbs. I love the sound though. There are a couple of tunnels in Seattle and I love shifting down and opening it up, sounds great. And it still looks great too.

One thing to keep in mind, this will last 2-3 times as long as a standard exhaust, so the price is not terrible.

                            http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...71&hg=18&fg=20

                            This is what you need:

                            05 Clamp 1 09/1987 18211707923 $15.70
                            06 Clamp 1 09/1987 18211178126 $15.70
                            08 Collar nut M8 4 07119927022 $0.20

Those are the upper brackets that get bolted to the exhaust. Now I would also order new bolts and nuts to connect it to the cat.

                            http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...70&hg=18&fg=05

                            25 Hex bolt M8X55 4 07119912524 $0.54
                            26 Hex nut M8 4 11621711954 $0.60

On that first link you can see if you need to replace any of your other parts, but everything else should be good, unless your rubber hangers are torn etc.

                              Now I am interested!

But, my question is that my automatic 86 325es has a great low millage oem cat on it so I would not want to touch it.

I am sure I will need an adapter to go from the single to this catback duel setup... but is this even worth doing or possible?

Since their is no resonator and it is duel will I loose back pressure, well ha ha ha i have holes in the one now so i know I will gain back pressure but will it effect anything because I have an automatic?

Can they weld up an adapter for me?

I have a kid that rides in the car will it be too loud for like a sleeping baby?

And finally because I have a DB car will the exhause exit in the correct spot? (are all e30 exhaust locations identical?)

                              Thanks for your answers!

I'm sure any exhaust shop could make you an adapter to get it to work.
