Interest in a GB for 2 piece fiberglass airbox/intake kit

Hey guys, the Castro's (the shop that sponsors me), have a few new products that we will be selling. The first one is a 2 piece fiberglass airbox for the 24v e30s.

Here is their new 2 piece 24v e30 airbox.







Price for the 24v e30 air box will be:

$200 for just the box and the mounting hardware.

$250 for the airbox, mounting hardware, K&N air filter, short aluminum intake tube for the filter, and a piece of silicone tube to connect the HFM to the aluminum intake tube

This will be the normal price for each box. If we get atleast 5 people, the price for everything will obviously go down.

We now have a jig for those using the m42 radiator, which does not have the provision for the factory coolant reservoir.

There will also be a box made with a larger whole to accommodate for a 3.5" MAF. For a 3.5" airbox kit, we would use a larger filter of course.

For those using the Samco/Bimmerworld 3"-3.5" intake boot, we are working on a design next week for my car.

I will get the disassembled pic up by this weekend! They sound pretty crazy with a mild exhaust set-up, I'll get a soundclip up of one of the swap cars with this box this weekend!

This looks pretty sweet. Will it fit with a 318i radiator (integrated res)? I'm assuming it will but I'm not actually sure if the res adds width the the radiator.

It should, and it would probably be less work to shape. Therefore we may be able to do it a little cheaper. ;)

Few more questions.
I have a 3.5inch maf, will this work?
If appears you have a custom tube connecting the MAF to the TB, is this included? I ask because I am using the bimmerworld silicone 3->3.5inch tube, and my MAF sits much closer to the front of the car with this tube.

That was just for that box. Chris is working on one mock up that will retain the factory non-ACS intake boot.

He will also make a design for those that have the m42 radiator and don't use the factory expansion tank.

For your set-up, you would have to provide us with exact measurements of the silicone boot. It may require you to trim some of the boot to fit.

Great product Polak, I'll most likely be joining the users of this box as I have seen it first hand. Good quality fabrication on this piece and to the GB question regarding the fuse box? It's the electrical tape holding the cover down......

will there be heat soaking issues? although the airbox is enclosed, I notice that it is hugging the coolant tank too.
