    LAMIN-X headlight/fogs protection

I just spent $58 with BavAuto on a headlight/foglight urethane kit. I was looking around and checked with Lamin-x but got no answer yesterday and being the impatient sort, I went ahead and purchased from Bav.

I get a call from Chris today, the distributor for Lamin-X and he says that I can get the set from him for $40 shipped.

I just thought I would let you guys know that. If I had known, I would have Lamin-X coming instead of the other.

I had the bavauto clear headlight protection on my fogs and one cracked in a week.I have no idea what hit it. The ones on the headlight are working fine though.

That sucks Nick. Sorry to hear that. My fogs are BRAND NEW!, and I don't want to have to replace them in my lifetime- $$$$. I hope this stuff will do the trick.

Yeah, Chris said the HD material is actually thinner (20mils vs. 40mils- which is the same thickness as BavAutos) but has a hard outer "shell" attached to it. He said it was for much larger lights and was much more difficult to install. He doesn't recommend it for our application.

I've had the BavAuto ones on my fogs since July last year. Mine were brand new too, luckily I'm still good.

Do they have an application for the larger, early model fogs, like the ones in my iS airdam? What about our headlights?

Lamin-x.com will sell just the fogs. I think they are 17.95/pr.

At Black Forest Industries we manufacture performance parts for your VW / Volkswagen, Audi, BMW, Porsche, and Mini but we also provide maintenance repair parts as well. Keep your ride on the road, make it faster, or make it look better than it did on the showroom floor!

We are a Lamni-X distributor and can get any variation of Lamin-X available. The listing for BMW may not be the most functional but just shoot us an email and well quote you : sales@blackforestindustries.com

Some have said they reduce light output. If that's so, I wouldn't mess with the smoked film.
