BTW We are installing one in our current 4dr e30 track car.... We welded the stock slider to the side mounts and I must say the came out great! Very solid seat for the price...

No. but we can get you FIA certified by sparco momo recaro or bride for your application;) Price for a carbon fixed back seat from another vendor FIA approved is also much higher in price.

Yes They are generic seats either weld the stock base to the side mounts or buy a base that mounts to the side mounts;)

I installed a set of these in my buddys e30. They are very lights. Only thing I didnt like was the flex that the seat backs had.

If you track the car and the car has a cage I would build a custom seat back rod kind of like the ones autopoer sell to make the back super solid. But if you don't track the car then it should be fine....I will be installing an Autopower rod from the cage to the rear of the seat:)

because breaking your back in an accident is the cool thing to do...

the purpose of the FIA seat is that is not only stiff but will flex in an accident a certain amount.
