Here is essentially the same wheel, 17x8.5, ET20 on the front of mine, take note of the lip of the guard. Now, add another 1.5" and then space it out another 15mm, how far out do you think the wheel will be outside the guard then? Even with the added camber as the suspension is compressed properly (the weight is off the wheel in this pic), there is no way a 10" wide wheel is going to fit under those guards.
You need more than rolling and pulling the fenders for a 10" wide on the front, you'll need to modify the guards/and or flares and the 10" rear will require the right tyre size and playing around with spacers to avoid similar action. Ride height will cause problems if the car is lowered quite a bit too.
Also, im one of the people looking for a 17x10" not for stretch or any bullshit styling thing, but because I have wide 255/40's at the moment which bulge a little as the wheel isn't quite wide enough. If I end up running 275's ill need the extra width for sure.Just a little project im working on

Fitment is bullshit, why do you lie to your potential customers?

I did not really know about that man, and I appreciate your help and advice, the Only thing made look for 17x10 is how nice those look with 4" lip . I have unknown rims on my baby now :S, from the previous owner that I wanna get rid of, they have just 1.5" lip which is not bad , but comparing to the 4" oh hell yah they will look sick on any BMW if you know what I am saying!. I found those last night on the internet , could you please tell me what you think of them ( Axis OG Europa , or Privat REMEMBER) they are cheep , not sure about the quality but they are direct fit for E30's which the most important for me :). Thank you kindly .by the way my baby looks exactly like yours but convertible. the top is black and the interior is baggie which makes it hard to find the right rim for her:S

Btw we have had a local customer with 10" all around with coil overs. Can check if we have any images.

Ohh, im not saying the fitment of the wheels is bullshit, because its actually very good. Im saying the suggestion that 10" wide wheels will fit on the front with minimal modifications is bullshit. The quality of the wheels im really happy with given the price, they look great and aren't super heavy you normally expect of cast wheels. As you can see by the pic, even with 8.5" wide fronts I ran into a few fitment issues as far as the guards go as im running a slightly oversized tyre. Wide tyres and low = rubbing on uneven surfaces like coming out of driveways, never rubs when driving around on the road though. So tyre choice on the 8.5's will be kind of important, if you want to run something wide like a 235/40R17, you are going to have to work the guards a little to make sure it's all good Forget about running 10's up front, it's not going to work without a level of modification that won't piss you off if you are expecting them to fit up pretty easily.
Well, yeah, they pretty much do. There are people in this thread with 8.5's on their cars which you can see sticking out the guards a little. The difference being that photo of mine hasn't got a tyre on it to hide the lip edge and all the photos still have a nice bit of wheel gap on the front too. Drop the ride height down and it becomes pretty obvious it's going to rub if you run low and wider rubber. Take a photo of any of of those cars when the camera is right above the guard like in my pic and post the results :) Let me make it clear though, at my ride height it NEVER rubs on the road when driving, even at full lock. It only ever rubs when driving in and out of uneven surfaces, like driveways, kerbs, etc, so im not debating the 8.5's wont fit on the front because I know they will. Im just saying the 10's wont fit with just a guard pull and roll the fenders. You are going to need more than that (they might clear the guard at standard ride height, but I can guarentee they will be sticking out past the edge).
