I received mine today. Good condition, just a couple chips on the end. Not that I care, as I was going to bead blast it and paint it Lachssilber.
Anyways its no good. Tried to test fit and found it (measured) 1.25in too wide for the strut towers. Don't know what to do with this otherwise not very useful lump of metal now :(
I really hope everyone else doesn't have a fitment issue this bad. It's pretty normal for it to be +- 1/4in, which can be fudged into place.
Wow, 1.25in?
I've heard rumors of different distances between struts, but i'm not 100% sure.

What did the bar measure out at? I have one that fit perfectly in my car - I can measure it for comparison.

I can measure mine if you want, already mounted.
Some useful info from Ireland Eng,
IMPORTANT--The factory book says the distance between the strut towers is 1002.2mm +-2mm (39.5"). Measured from center to center (where the shock sticks thru). We have found many cars that measure about 980mm (38.5"). This leads us to believe BMW made two slightly different unibodies. Therefore we now make two versions of our brace. Please specify model and year, and measure your car to specify the "regular" or "short" brace.
As time went on, the factory developed the car each year, making it faster, more comfortable, and capable of handling at higher speeds.
You don’t want this. You want the trickiest, most dangerous, oldest model you can find. Only then can you prove to the world that you’re a man.
My package was shipped... but they messed up my destination address. My shipping address was in Los Angeles... they're shipping it to redondo beach (billing address which is a PO BOX).
