This is a long thread and I did not get the chance to read it all, so I will just ask a question that has probably been asked before. I am looking for a set of 17's that will sit flush on my E30 in a weave pattern similar to style 5's. The ESM 002R's look like exactly what I have been looking for. What would you recommended sizes be for 17 X ? et ? with what spacers for a flush look. Not rolled or stretched fenders. I plan on rolling them but not stretching the fenders before install of the wheels.

Fixed my problem on the front with two 5mm spacer plates. No issues at all with 205/50ZR15 tires all around.

Why not make a 16x7 Style 5/E28 M5 replica? The polished lips are too blingy, and I'd bet that there is a large group of people who would be delighted to buy a 4x100 direct fit version of the Style 5 with proper center caps. (And certainly not the ugly ass E38 wheels.)
