I know for a fact that the strut insert replacements I received are more than 3" shorter, because the spacer I had to make was more than 3" long. Both of my spacers were 3.450" long. I apologize, but I should have been more specific rather than saying approx. 4 inches. But close enough. :P

I am still curious as to why I didn't receive any spacers for them from GC though...

*Edit: Jordan, the price for 15 sets or more is $450 shipped. The $470 is for a total under 15 sets. If I get the full 15 sets by December 9th (I'm not waiting indefinately), I will refund $20 to everyone on the Koni GB.

I can do this group buy at any time, but in order to get this pricing again, we'd be looking at another 15 sets. Major reason I can get the price that low is because once I get an order that size, I don't get charged freight from Koni to get the shocks. But again...the 15 set minimum.
I have the "short" fronts. They are in fact a Corrado part. I have strut housings with the percehs cutoff coming with a spacer from another board member so I can use these. Size of the spacer sounds about the same as what he described. I can measure it when it gets here.

I still want to know if the rears require a special RSM if they are top adjustable.

Forgive my ignorance, but does it matter for a non-coilover setup? Thats what the adjustment is for isnt it? I would think the only specification needed would be if you want shorter bodies for coilover or regular bodies for non-coilover.

I might be totally missing the point, it's been known to happen, dunno.

On another note, I'm the only one in the paid section, c'mon 11 days to fill this up for the discount, see here: http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=60223

is there a difference in between shocks for lowering springs and for coil over set-ups? right now i have lowering springs but i plan to go with coilover later on.

I thought that the konis can be valved to match specific spring rates. In other words, Since different springs are rated differently, you would valve the shocks to match them. Is this correct?

I can only get the Konis custom-valved if they are being purchased along with a Ground Control product. Koni's standard adjustable valving that comes standard is normally more than sufficient to handle all but coilover applications or very stiff race springs.

I don't buy the Koni's from GC, so for me to have GC valve them without purchasing the shocks from them is one of those grey-areas and I have no idea what they charge for that. If I buy a GC CO kit, I can get the Konis valved for free...but then again I'm limited to a 1-to-1 basis. Hope that makes sense.

I just can't expect or ask GC to do that work for free. To do so would be unprofessional.

Based on my limited experience, I think I can say yes. My top-adjustable GC shocks have a 12mm shaft. You will need to either buy 12mm RSMs (from GC or http://www.tcklineracing.com/monoball.htm, maybe others) or drill out a 10mm RSM.

I found the konis elsewhere. I'm backing out of this group buy. Sorry.
