Soo this kit with a s62 requires no oil pan modifications?

The s62 oil pan appears to be just like the m60 oil pan. So no modifications are needed.

Have you guys fitted them into engine bay with a m60/m62/s62? it may be un-ideally positioned for the e36 chassis for header clearance as e36 rack is opposite side vs e30.

Also the oil pan issue for e36; thats a game in itself. What have you guys figured out to work? custom subframe?

We have not personally done so. We have had customers actually use our mounts and informed us that they do work. How they worked out the details however we are unsure of. We will see if we can get more information.

What's the benefit in aluminum versus steel aside from no change for galvanic reaction between the aluminum block and the steel mounts?

My concern is mostly in the fact that aluminum gives no sign of failure, in other words it does not show stress like steel would. I suppose it shouldn't matter since the OEM motor mount arms were of cast aluminum. Thoughts?

The only major difference is weight. They are about half the weight of the steels.

We do not recommend solid mounts with the aluminum mounts. Vibrations can stress welds. Something to keep in mind.
