Sorry I haven't posted any feedback on the chip yet. I've been trying to figure out why my car has been running rich and I didn't want to give an unfair review.

So far, I have noticed a slight increase in midrange power, and a nice jump in highway gas mileage. And the higher redline is nice too. 60 mph in second gear is great. The idle has also been raised to about 900rpm.

Thanks for the great deal! I'll post a more in-depth review when I get this A/F thing sorted out. I think I may need to get a new oxygen sensor.

They are all proper chips giving excelent power.

If there is anyone here who would like to be a tester to give evidence as to how good they are i will do the firt 2 at cost which is only $25 inc shipping to the USA. (thats for any of the cars i have listed.
I'll test on a 318iS that is running perfectly.

I can get the ECU if necessary

Hey all of you! I was wondering if you could help an idiot out... what is an ECU? I'm getting an '89 325iS this weekend and would love to stick a chip in it. Please let me know what I need. I have a British bank account too, so how much would you like me to take out in Pounts...or is that rediculas? Thanks.

The ECU is the "Engine Control Unit" or something along those terms I think?

Basically, it's like a computer linked to everything the car does, timing, etc. It controls everything. The chips change "settings" that the original chips hold to help get the most power out of the engine. I wouldn't have the slightest idea how that is actually done though... ;) It's in a little metal box hidden above the inside of the glove box, behind a plastic piece.

To get your ECU number, just pull it out (when removing the plastic piece, you'll see that the ECU just clips right out after some screws are removed) and the ECU number should be located on the top of the metal box.

Yep, once you pull off the plastic cover inside the gloave box, you'll see the screws, realy straight forward actually.

                      Glad I could help.
