GB: Ireland Engineering E30 Front Strut Brace

I have a group buy setup for the Ireland Engineering E30 Front Strut Brace. I will list the picture and description directly from the IE website.

I need 5 people to get the GB rate of $100 each bar + shipping.

"Steel strut brace fits well and is very rigid yet light weight. These have NO joints or swivels and are very stiff. Color is black but these are available unpainted and can be easily painted to match the car. Requires drilling of two 8mm holes for best strength. Beware of flimsy thin aluminum bars most are not rigid enough to work properly. Our bar fits both 325's and M3's,but not the ix. These bars do not fit the 318 4 cyl models(either early or late). IMPORTANT--The factory book says the distance between the strut towers is 1002.2mm +-2mm (39.5"). Measured from center to center (where the shock sticks thru). We have found many cars that measure about 980mm (38.5"). This leads us to believe BMW made two slightly different unibodies. Therefore we now make two versions of our brace. Please specify model and year, and measure your car to specify the "regular" or "short" brace."

Interested, would like to know what shipping would be to NC first though.

"See, we're adding a little something to this month's sales contest. As you all know, first prize is a Cadillac Eldorado. Anyone wanna see second prize? Second prize is a set of steak knives. Third prize is you're fired."

          two quick questions:

          1. if I decide to put in a m/s5x motor in my car, will this clear the motor?
          2. can I use camber plates with it?

You should be able to use camber plates with it, because they will not affect the bolt pattern on the top of the strut housing.

I'm in provided shipping is low to 97302. Lots of noobies doing for sale stuff, makes me worried. Are these coming from IE, BMP, FlyingBrick, etc? Or are you personally handling the shipping and money handling?

The bars are coming from a local retailer. I will handle the money in person with the retailer.

I don't usually post on this forum. You can check my "street cred" here:

                          Shipping to NC is $15
                          Shipping to OR is $10

For everyone that is interested please send me an email here: mknoot@comcast.net and please list your zip code and confirmation here in this thread.

                          -Matt
