    Mike,

I spoke to Mark and he said the 173 will work with the 524 and up ECUs.

"An owner on tech who did this and put a 173 in his ecu said he had shitty performance and did not notice any gains at all."

Well can you explain more? Did he post a dyno? Did he use the recommend octane with the chip?

I am closing the GP by the end of the week.

Mark does produce M30 chips. Please e-mail me if you want to be added.

Both of you, check his website.

To Bimmer, I believe he makes a m30 one too but it's not on the site so call him.

Why would I change to an earlier motronic? The 524 has a stable idle and is the most updated version of the 1.3.

This is a link of Mark himself saying he has a chip for the 524...so whats up with that?

    Mike,

I will speak with Mark tomorrow about the 524 chip. Another person just e-mailed me about one as well, so I will see if Mark is able to produce one.

why don't you just buy a 173 ecu? it will solve your problem.

I am still waiting for 10 people. I only have 7.

    Mike,

What exactly do you mean by 524 chip? I spoke to him about the stroker motor chip but he said it's not ready anytime soon.

I'd be in but he hasn't responded to my e-mail if there is a 524 chip or not for the M20 and if there are any upgrades such as injectors, AFM custom mapping for the 524.

If you get a hold of him about the 524 let me know.

    I still want in.

    Mike

Do they make a 93 Octane Chip for the 1991 318is? Or is it 91 only?
I talked to Mark a while back and he said he planned to make a more aggressive, true 93 octane chip (meaning it WILL ping on 91) for the M42 in May. I don't know what the progress is on that right now, but I'll buy one of those as soon as they're available.
I'll take a 7200 redline on mine as well.
