    Wheel spacers (feeler)

This isn't a traditional group buy, but this seems the best place for it.

I am looking at having a set of custom wheel spacers made, using the services of www.emachineshop.com . They will be 15mm thick, with a 57.1mm bore (hubcentric to car) and a 73mm shoulder (hubcentric for select aftermarket wheels). They will look very similar to the H&R 15mm spacers, just having a 73mm shoulder. I am using a stud hole diameter of 13.5mm so they won't bind on the studs, or be too sloppy. They will be 6061-t6 or 6063-t6, which is very similar and more than sufficient for wheel spacers.

The reason I'm posting this is because if I just order 4 of these, they will run about $80 each. If I order 8, the price drops to $57 each, which is much easier to take. The more I order, the more the price drops, but in smaller increments (12=$47, 16=$42, with $40 each being about as low as it goes). So this is a feeler to see if anyone would be at all interested in a set of these.

If you are seriously interested, you can download the emachine program and I can send you the file so you can see for yourself, and double check my design. Because of the nature of this, I can make no changes to the design, so I'm afraid I cannot accomodate different thicknesses, etc.

I'm on no timetable with this, it's not a "hurry up or be left behind" deal. My reason for doing the spacers this way is so I don't have to run the H&R spacers and a hubcentric ring in combo for the wheels I am interested in.

    Thanks for your time!

    I'd be up maybe
    any chances of a 5mm or 8mm?
How about a hubcentric extender like turner sells?

I'd be game for that exact size if they were under 50 a pop. What does it come out to with 12 spacers?

Aren't 10mm the non existent spacer size? I think a run of those might find a lot of buyers.

BMW2ner: Sorry, 15mm thick is it.

e30Groupie: 12 pieces come out to $47 each. Glad to hear you're interested!

browntown: Yeah, 10mm would fill a need, but the 15's will be perfect for what I'm planning.

So we need one more person and we're golden. All except I need them sooner than later.

Just bringing this up to see if there is any more interest. e30 Groupie, are you still interested and how long are you willing to wait?

If we don't get any more takers, I will probably go a different way for wheels. Found another option that would leave me room for bigger brakes if I ever need them.

Would a 10mm thick spacer garner any more interest? Same hub dimensions (57.1>73mm).

There are a lot of sites to buy wheel studs and bolts. Turner sells longer ones, so does BMP.

Yeah, I'm an idiot...I asked before I looked. Just check turner, 2.50 per.

One more question. Will this 73mm shoulder be a problem for the Rotas, or are they included in the "select wheels" statement?

DAMN! That was two questions. Although, they were included in the same statement. Kinda like the nacho rule. If all the nachos come up with the one you picked, then it is one nacho.

I dont know right off on the rotas. Maybe someone else can chime in. Look in the many wheel threads and see if anyone lists the center bore. Whats is this nacho thing, i am interested :)
