    ESS Performance Chips

Well in addition to our shirts and a number of other apparel products on the way, Polizei Clothing will soon be selling ESS OBD1 perfomance software.

I developed a close relationship with ESS over the summer due to some contract work we did for them. ESS was kind enough to get me a hold of their software for my 325i. This software and other OBD1 applications were never available for sale in the United States.

I was so happy with the software that I convinced ESS to let us sell it in the U.S. ESS is working to convert the european software to U.S. spec (otherwise our U.S. DME's would throw CEL's) so right now the only chips ready to ship are for E36 325i's '92-94 with an M50TU. Here are the details:

    E36 325i '92-'94
    ~10HP Increase over stock
    Deleted speed limiter
    Increased redline to 7,000 RPM
    MUCH better throttle response
Overall makes the 325i much more entertaining!

Pricing? We're introducing these chips @ $180 shipped.

I know some of you here own E36's or have friends who do. Since we don't have these on the website yet please PM me if you're interested, we can ship these within 2 days!

Of course this being an E30 forum I should probably mention that the E30 chips will be here soon. We just want to make sure everything is perfect first before we sell them.

We do have a lot of 24v guys here too who may be interested in the "E36" chips.

Yep, as long as it uses an E36 325i DME you're good to rock and roll!

Forgive my ignorance on the M50 conversion specifics, it's been a while since I've owned an E30.

do you know if they are ever gonna do any OBD1 S52/M52 stuff. I'd love to find a better chip then the AA chip I have for my Obd1 m52.
