    New Coilover GB

Hey folks, Looks like it's time to do another GB for the coilovers. It seems that there are some price increases are hovering on the horizon and I'd like to be able to knock another group of coilovers out and give everyone a good deal before I have to raise the rates. Koni just hit me with a second price increase this year and Vorshlag may be raising prices on the camber plates in the near future...so you all know what that will do to pricing.

In an effort to keep the kit at a good rate, I'm aiming for $1500 + shipping for this set . The kit still comes with everything that was included in the last GB. The good news is that I already have an extra order of weld-on hardware back from the waterjet guys so that will greatly reduce lead time.

As always, only thing I need is your spring rates and we're good to go. Stock kit rates are 450/750 with 6" springs in the front, 5" springs in the rear. I also have this posted on s14.net as we're in the progress of doing a Vorshlag camber plate GB there as well.

Race season is upon us...don't get left behind!!

I'm interested. I wasn't able to track it down in the last thread but I could have missed it. Do these come with spanner wrenches to adjust the collars?

As a side question a buddy of mine has GC's on his car with 375/475 springs and I personally love the way his car rides. Would your product ride similar? I dont know if the improved collars and such that you have would make a difference on the ride or not.

      Thanks,
      Tom

They will include spanner wrenches. I'm still waiting for the back order from the last group buy, but I was assured the next set was in route. So by the time this one goes down, it should be a non-issue.

Also since you are doing the Vorshlag GB on s14.net you wouldn't by chance have access to their wheel studs would you? Cuz If I got your coilovers I would love to get a set of studs for my e30 and my e36. But the problem with that is, are there locking nuts available for them?

          Thanks,
          Tom

Yes, I do have access to the wheel studs, but I won't be able to offer any price break on them since my cost for them would be the same as yours buying direct. They don't offer any price breaks on those as the market is very competitive.

Do they have bearings on the spring pads?

Jason , can you shoot me a price on just the rear adjuster set-up ?
Don't need the springs just the adjusters and nipple thing .

                Thanks in advance .

It is pretty easy to do yourself. I did it in a day, (A long one). If you arent comfortable doing the welds by yourself, take it to a respectable shop and have them do it (try not to go to a carX, or a muffler shop, in my experience they suck at welding and get the welds to hot). Otherwise it is just switching everything from old to new. ;)

but if u do want to go to a shop, i got quoted 900-1,200 from a few local performance BMW shops. i just put taht money into new bushings and offset CABs

:o Damn. i think il just install them myself but probably take the struts into a shop to get them welded. Backs are pretty easy. How difficult is the front, Do u need any special tools other than a spring compressor?

impact wrench is very helpful cuts time in half. other than that, nope. the back can be done in about 30 minutes, it is the fornt that took the longest.

good luck, and have fun with them

A set of 4 top adjustable Koni SA's will go for 489.95 with the GB.

Teaguer, I'll get back to you this evening on your question.

Also to everyone, I'm sorry but I had to raise the price of the GB $50 due to the price increase for both Koni shocks and for the Vorshlag camber plates. Again, I'm really sorry for the price increase, but I have no choice.

Ryan (crunk3), The shipping to Canada will be about $60 or so plus duties. I have no way of calculating the tax duties and also my FedEx rep said that those will be assessed when they arrive to Canada and will be due upon receipt of the package.
