The wheel is the same design as what Turner sells, except these wouldn't have the e36 offset, but an offset of either et20 or et25.

This is a list to get a custom wheel done. If there is enough interest it would be possible to get the same wheel drilled for a 4 lug design.

I don't know if there would be enough demand for a 4 lug 17x8" wheel (I believe I would need 20 people to get that custom drilled) but I'm also looking to develop a 15x8" wheel which could be done in 4x100 for sure. There is a decent amount of e30's running around with the 5 lug swap, so this one wheel design can catter to more then just the standard e30.

If your seriously interested in a 4x100 17x8" then sign up and make note of what you would like. Please sign up if you are serious. If this moves forward we could potentially have wheels in 2 months.

I'm still waiting on an update from my rep. He just returned from vacation. I'm getting a decent amount of interested on the s14 forum.

I'm also looking into bringing in a single set of the presently available e36 wheels and mounting them up with spacer to show that a 17" wheel fits fine and is not oversized, and just to have photographs of the wheels installed on an e30.

        OK.

Well I just received an email from the wheel developer. He returned home from vacation only to find that his house has flood damage from a storm. This delayed his response.

With interest split between 8.5" and 8" wheels and many people not wanting to compromise, we may have to go another route. Because we would need another 15-20 people on the 8" version alone to make it happen, we came up with an alternative.

The mold for the LTW-5 would have to be modified to change the design to et20 and to change it from 8.5” to 8”. This just adds material to the back of the hub, it does not change the depth of the outer lip or move the face in anyway, and it just narrows the barrel. In effect it is adding a permanent spacer to the back of the wheel.

I can get an 8" version of the the LTW-5 with a very small order quanitity but the wheel will be an e36 offset (either 38 or 40mm). They are willing to do this because this could be used for other applications. The wheels would be completed at the end of October or very early November. They would be available in silver, anthracite, black and flat black. So we could select a color instead of the whole group being stuck with a single color. This allows both groups of buyers to get the width they desire.

        The PLUS side.

Many of us are already running spacers, and don’t have an issue with it. The company making the wheels is also developing spacers that will be manufactured in a similar way to the H&R and Eibach spacers. They will be complete in 3 weeks. He hasn’t gotten me pricing yet. Either way. For those people who would be buying wheels, I could offer spacers at a significantly discounted price with your choice of thickness. This discount price would not be offered to anyone who isn’t getting wheels.

Because we still need a minimum buy in of these wheels, I can offer a discount on any presently available version of the wheel that is already being produced. The spacer discount would be open to anyone who buys wheels, no matter what size. For those of us interested in the 17x8.5, we could get $50 off on a set of wheels that run for $249 each. 17x9” wheels would also have this discount, and if you want to stagger wheels I’m fine with that too (although if the front are 8” in the stagger then there would only be an added discount on the rear wheels)

The 8” version of the wheel would still be a custom wheel but the group buy can have discounted pricing. They will be priced at a special $235 a piece for this group buy.

If we go this route, then the developer would like to move forward as early this Friday. People who want the 8.5 or 9" version of the wheel can have them as soon as we place the order since they are in stock. We just need some more people to put the order through.

pricing on Eibach and H&R spacers are as follows for people buying wheels only.

        H&R spacers:

15mm spacers: this is for just two spacers and no bolts. new longer bolts can be bought additionally, but studs my be preferred. they look exactly the same as the eibach spacers because they are made by the same manufacturer. H&R lugs can be bought individually if needed (45mm). each pair is $70.

20mm spacers: these spacers are just a thicker version of the 15mm spacer. they do not need to be fixed to the hub itself before the wheel is placed on. This would be the best choice for anyone who wants to run studs. H&R sells longer lug bolts for these spacers (50mm) individually if you don't want to run studs. Each pair is $75.

        Eibach spacers:

15mm kit: each set contains two spacers and 10 brand new extended lug bolts. they are $120 a pair.

        20mm kit:
each set contains two spacers and 10 attachment bolts. This spacer has 5 recessed lugs that attach to the hub and then you use your factory lugs to thread into the spacer. Many people with this spacer just run a stud kit and skip the attachment bolts. I've run 25mm spacers this way. They are fully forged and there is nothing structurally weak about the design (I've even seen 45mm+ spacers of this design used on wide body turbo porsches). Each pair would be $112 since these would probably be wanted by the people running the 8" wheel.

I won't have pricing on the spacers made by the wheel manufacturer for probably 3 weeks.

I can also get hardened BBS studs with the black corrosion resistant finish and lug nuts for those interested.
