You have Euro ellipsoids? From what people are saying it requires minor filing... Not complete cutting ;)

I dunno where they are finding these "holes". My euro ellips have none for the wiring to go through. :pErick Mahle | FullOpp Drift | YouTube

Oh... you have rear covers? Just need like a 1/2in hole to thread wires through and put the little grommet in. Maybe Rich will post up a pic :)Comment

Here is the back of my euro ellips, but i got the Prolumen in them. I'm sure it's the same type rubber grommet setup as the Apexcones.

I figured that's what I'm going to have to do. But I dont have anything to open a hole with at my crib.
Eh... maybe I'll take the car to the shop tomorrow and install it then.Erick Mahle | FullOpp Drift | YouTube

In a rush to get 55W kits back in stock. 55W internals were put into 35W slim ballast. So if you ordered a 55W kit and it comes in a slim ballast that says 35W let me know and I will confirm that yours is one of these. I have confirmed them myself with multiple orders that they are in FACT 55W. Thank you. This will be fixed soon.Comment

For some reason on my Bosch lights the actual hole where th bulb slides into the bucket was too small. All i did was attach a filing bit to my dril and hollow it out a 16th of an inch. The original bulbs fit in fine, and the Halogen bulb now slides in un-obstructed. I will get pics soon. I have to go to Micah's shop and pick up my old bosch backs to drill the holes into. I am not doing that to these backs b/c they are in mint condition. I will put these on my extra set of bosch headlights (that's right, I have two sets of bosch smileys, and no you cannot buy one!)
I'm going to head up to the shop right now and get the covers. I will post a write up when I get them finished tonight. How bout that?Yours truly,
Rich

So here is what I did
Euro backs
Traced the outline
Used a drill bit and a sanding bit to wallow out a hole in each
fed the bushing through
Viola!
Lights on

So I'm debating between the 35W and the 55W. For those of you with 55W, have you been pulled over/ticketed for using them? How about for 35W? I like how much brighter the 55s are but don't want to attract more attention to myself than I have to.
Thanks!Comment

Boulder huh?
Considering there is a cop for every 10 people in Boulder, I would be careful. I lived on the Hill for a summer and rode a skateboard....Yours truly,
