Bah, I think you shouldn't close it. You're doing it for the community and that's cool. I think Linus was just looking out for you. If you were to do a lot of these, and someone who owns rights to the images found out, they could get upset and have a legitimate claim against you. Though I truly don't think that would happen, especially if you were just selling them here and not on ebay or anything.

You can buy the whole disc on Ebay for $20 (search M3 DVD) and walk in to any Kinkos and get a high res print made of whatever poster you want. There are 40+ images on the disc.

Most of the original posters were from my collection here in Seattle. Mark Amarandos in California did the scanning and compiled the disc. I mailed the posters to him 5 at a time for scanning. Most of the posters I sourced from German Ebay, it took about 2 years to get them all.

I really don't care if anyone makes copies, the images belong to BMW actually.
