I guess I shall wait! I drive in extremely horrible condition roads, especially after all them snow storms we had.

Will there be an add on for those who already have the regular skid plate? I literally JUST bought mine and am anticipating some shitty roads in the near future. I really would rather not buy a brand new plate because v2.0 came out the week after I bought v1.0.

I'd suggest a peerless-style support bar that could be added on...? Careful, he'll sue you if he thinks you're copying him though...

You guys will be fine. If you have a big hit, just jack the car up and check for bends. If you find one, pull the plate and straighten it if you're worried. Also get new motor mounts but that's a logical maintenance item for everyone anyway.

I have to agree, I have sold many of these plates and guys have really put them to the test. In the case of jumping over rail road tracks 4 times a week for months, yes you may need a brace. other than that the plate asis will be fine. if you need the brace, It will be a part that can be added on. As far as getting sued. He would have had to have been the first person to put a brace on a skid plate. A quick search and you will find lots of skid plates with bracing. I know there not pink poke a dots but you get the idea.

Ooh ooh I want in on this.

Peerless isn't trash talking. It's like a pepsi commercial where ppl go "mmm pepsi tastes better than coke". Or those ATT commercials where they poke at verizon and vice versa.

You can't really argue that the severe duty skid plate is beefier. It has a design rooted in history and is known to work.

FYI bending/banging the skid plate back is not an acceptable fix. Once metal bends, it is inherently weaker. Think a tab on a coke can. Do it enough and itll snap off. Bushings between the skid plate and the pan is probably a bad idea as well. Once the bushing compresses, it puts pressure on the oil pan.

I don't get what you guys have your panties in a bunch for. The "race skid plate" is weaker than the "Severe duty skid plate". If you argue that, you aren't too bright.

                Status: HG repair. 488wtq though!

For now this is true. I will make both:) one for daily and one All-Terrain :D

This. And not to mention it's a pain in the ass to have to remove the plate and straighten it out every time you whack it. I rather have a plate that can handle the abuse.

EJ, if you can make a brace that doesn't sacrifice any more ground clearance I'd be interested. I may be looking for the M50 version also.

Will do. I'm leaving town for work this week and will not be back until the 29th so it will be after that. I will keep you posted.

I cant believe you posted a picture of a RC car skid plate to prove a worthless point. Even the factory e30 aggregate plate is stronger than this one. What gives???

What will the "all terrain" skidplate look like?

It'd be cool to have a plate that can be abused. lol.

It will look the same but with a brace that can be bolted in. So if you want to go All-terrain with your ride. So be it. If you have a Raceskids plate now and want to add the brace. you can.
