well some of the bars might have the paint chippings and some dont.
When i get them from Sparco IT - they pack the bars by putting 8-10 bars in one big box.
So the bars tend to hit/rub other bars in shipping.
I did mention this to them a while back and they said this is the easiest and most cost effective way to ship alot of bars.

easiest way to fix this is red nail polish to touch up the chips.

              hope this helps.

whats the best way to install these by the way, so that you don't have any interference with your throttle and what not. i saw it earlier in this thread but couldn't find it while skimming through again.

It's pretty straight forward and idiot proof. You may need to pry a little to get the bar over the bolts on one side if the strut towers have settled. My weapon of choice was a big screw driver. :D

Are you installing it while the car is on the ground or jacked up, I think it's easier when it's in the air.

I guess mine was one of the scratched ones...

There's scuffs in the middle, and also in each ends. It woudl be very hard to touch it up, since the color will be off, plus the scuffs are fairly deep. Im thinking maybe I will sand the whole thing off and paint it another color.

Man, that doesn't look so good.

So that's it? For a $10 savings we are supposed to accept damaged goods that need refinishing?
