Lee, the rear kit would use the narrow mount Dynapro, 1" pistons, for .380 disc? http://www.wilwood.com/Products/001-...-ndp/index.asp
The lug mount DP doesn't seem to come in that combo. Yes, I've been playing with a bias calculator again! :p
You have me hooked, I'm in for the kit, whenever it happens.

Hi Brian
Thanks for the info. I will start a feeler list on the rear Dynapro kit. At $100 per disc it make more sense. And even if the rotors are not in stock, i am sure that Pelican would gladly order 10 sets if they know in advance they can sell them. I still won't be responsible for supplying the 280mm discs though. My goal is to supply two Dynapro calipers, two steel mounts and pads for $550usd.Leave a comment:

Lee, a hypothetical: If one didn't want their e-brake anymore could you use corrado rotors on the rear with the right caliper adapter?Leave a comment:

A little more info on the Z1 rotors, with pictures.

Lee, could you check the number of the Z1 rotor please, is it 34211160402 ? RealOem shows that number for a 01/1991 production Z1. If that is the correct number, Tischer BMW lists it for $107.18, and Pelican lists it for 95.25, with additional shipping likely. With the wear rate of rear rotors being slower, I think that this could be a viable option. Whether you"ll get 10 commitments is another thing entirely, as we know...:roll:A French customer has that set-up. I checked the price of Z1 rotors and they are about $160.00usd per unit. I have no problem developping the bracket for a Dynapro caliper, but I won't be able to supply a cheap rotor. You guys could probably source your own rotor while I supply the Dynapros, brackets and pads.
All it takes for me to develop the bracket is 10 commitments.

I will work with my US distributor to work on shop price on that kit.
BTW For people who have enquired about a 4 pot caliper to upgrade the rear one, while keeping the stock rotor. Hmmm... Not physically possible. I must find a 280mm rear disc with a 160mm handbrake drum. I doubt it will come from a VW as they have very different rear set-ups. Basically, bearings are part of the rear discs.
late model z1 rear rotors work if you hadn't found out yet and they use e30 m3 calipersLeave a comment:

There's a special deal to replace the non-working GB.

Hi guys
I just received a whole bunch of 1.5mm and 3mm spacers for the 280mm kits to make-up for the slightly thinned hat face. so, if you ordered a full kit and want a set of spacers (1.5mm and 3mm), please PM with your mailing address. Spacers will be shipped for free.
TIA

300mm.de uses sliding calipers and redrills rotors (not too practical when you need to change them). Why would anybody buy another sliding calipers to replace the stockies? The logic simply evades me. Not only it has the same physical drag and loss of energy, but most of the time they come with bigger pistons than stock, which is pretty bad as it completely unbalance the car's braking... But hey, that's only my point of view...

Yeah. I thought you may have initialy made something like the 300mm.de kit and then changed it for production. I'll start slapping on spacers and see how it looks.Leave a comment:

Prices exclude shipping from Wisconsin ($45usd accross continental US). Caliper brackets-only are shipped directly from Montreal.
Hubcentric spacers start at 10mm. I supply thin 1.5 and 3mm spacers which don't need to be hubcentric as the wheel still has some hub on which to center.
In regard of those thin spacers, I have them with the regular 58mm center bore design for other 4 lug kits, as well as with the larger 67mm center bore to fit the 280mm rotors. As FiddleMan mentionned, the VW rotors are 0.5mm thinner, therefore a regular spacer would be wobbly. The corrected spacers have the center bore enlarged to sit properly. I was confirmed they will be produced mid week (next week). Producing the M Technic foot rests took longer and postponed production of other items.
